Teaching and learning at Boolarng Nangamai

Boolarng Nangamai (Together Dreaming) is an artists’ cooperative based at Gerringong, NSW. A group of Indigenous artists together with artist and teacher Kelli Ryan have been working since 1999 to promote Indigenous art and culture.

As well as developing their individual art practice using paint, ceramics, fibre and wood, the artists operate as cultural ambassadors to school and community groups teaching about past and present Aboriginal culture in the area.

Individual artists follow their interests in the revival of traditional knowledge and practices.
